I was desperate for a grain cart driver during harvest this year for a few days. My 11 year old boy had a long weekend......ding ding ding ding ding! He rode a few loads with me on Thursday evening and half a load on Friday morning. Then I got in the truck and said good luck! He was nervous and scared but did really good. Rubbed the bean head once but dad saw it happening and no damage was done. He did about 18 hours in three days and we got done before the bad rains and wind. He is not a kid who loves to ride in the tractor so he had some learning to do. I think he's disappointed because he knows he's going to get a lot more hours next year!
