SW Wisconsin | I would agree with making sure they are responsible enough and have enough common sense to operate the equipment and that age is going to be different for every kid. I started driving at the age of 8 but I had a lot of time on the tractor before I was by myself. I start with small things like lawnmower and the atv. I also think if the tractor has a cab or not make a difference to me. At the end of the day it is all about safety. Things can happen so fast and even guys that have years and years of experience driving can react fast enough that they can't react fast enough. I have two girls that are the world to me and my wife I can image something happening to them, with that being said I hope that one day they can be in the same field with me getting the work done. Just remember always safety first. | |
