SW Iowa | But it gets to the point the older workers can't pull 12 hr shifts for an extended period. Where I'm at the production side works 6 days/wk with 3 of the day's mandatory 12 hr shifts. 60yr old + people are retiring earlier, not because they have the money, but because they're tired and wore out. Workcomp issues are rising with these longer hours. I used to volunteer for 12's when my wife was at home with the kids. I'd pull 70-80 hrs/wk. Can't do it today. Burnt the candle at both ends to much. | |
