Why do you have so much overlap built in?  On SF1/WAAS, most guys around here for broadacre work, set their guidance for at most 12" less than their tool.  They used to overlap 2-3' seeding and have cut that down to a foot and in the case of tillage, have no overlap built in at all.  Sounds like you might want to measure your tool as it might be the width you think it is.  As everyone else has mentioned, the savings are there.
