Unless you are a perfect driver, the savings from eliminating 3' or so of overlap on a 35' field cultivator WILL pay for the system. You may be able to drive perfectly all day/night, but I can't, especially on the wider equipment, especially when it's dry enough that the difference is hard to see between the worked and non-worked ground, and especially at night. Also, Especially on the combine running beans when you can't see the end of the header for the dust when the wind is wrong/still. If overlap doesn't make any difference, then why can't I get anything done by just going over the same spot all day long? | |
