| KDD - 6/24/2017 22:14 I can't argue with your comment, Sledge...the market has gone up. Landlords are not "owed" any certain return. But taxes have played a big role around Ohio in keeping rents high when commodities came down.
"Old money" and competition for the land has kept the rent high. The property taxes don't matter at all if there isn't a farmer willing to pay the high rent.
Too many guys are still dreaming that we're one hiccup away from $5 corn.
