EC IA
All we do is buy 275-450 lb calves and sell them around 750-850. We buy hfrs, bulls, strs, weaned, unweaned, vaccinated, unvaccinated. Anything we think we can make money on. We usually feed them for 5-7 months. Give them two rounds of vaccine, almost always give zuprevo on arrival. Feed them alot of roughage. Corn silage, rye silage, ground hay, ground bean stubble , husklage, distillers and pellet balancer. We feel like we can buy calves cheaper than we can raise them most of the time. We run about 1500-2000 a year.
