Metric is a hell of a lot easier to use than imperial

Perhaps, but if one is already comfortable with the older imperial system it was just a headache having to convert and learn a new system of measures for the farming business. Which had no apparent advantages. I have had to become "bi-lingual" using a blend of both systems. Our land was measured in acres and feet. Nice square sections of 640 acres, one mile on each side. I have no idea and no need to know how many hectares are in that section.

I agree with Rusty on this one. Maybe it's an age thing but it's like trying to learn to speak another language at 40, you still translate back to your original to properly understand it.
