I agree Pretender.

As long as people try using both it remains a problem and prone for errors.

i stick to metric, spray litres per hectare.
Using acres you are always converting and usually end up using the third measure of US gallons.

Scales weigh in kilograms so yield is in tonnes/hectare nice and simple, no converting.

Ship grain and it is shipped in tonnes so why worry about lbs and 56 or 60 or 48 lb units.

Know any farmers that prepare feed using 'bushels'?

I had a feed salesman who taught US feed salesmen to formulate feed rations in 1,000 lb batches instead of the old 2,000 batches they were using.
Cut errors in half.
A 'metric' system using lbs.

Something few touting the old system realize but an inch is defined to be 25.4 mm or 2.54 cm.
So if they have to go to the metric system to define it why not just use the metric system?
