Buffalo IL | I have not read all of the posts above. I feel for you . I've been there a couple of times when I ran low on working capital. I would suggest selling all of the cows and replace them with cows on a custom grazing contract with someone else on a per head per day charge. You will reduce your risk and guarantee a steady income. You will need to know what additional tax burden you might get into also for capital gains from the cow sale. You may need to do only 50% of the cows and contract another 50%. If your only income is 100 cows, it is not enough no matter how you do the math in most situations. | |
