Thanks for your post. I didn't think your first was bad, that was why I responded to it separately from my other response. Definitely agree on what everyone says about land and how it will always be too much but seem like a deal later. Here it doesn't rain most years so even haying has a decent window to get it done. We just have to irrigate everything or have nothing at all. Planting is of course the shortest window because even if we do everything too early lots of guys think it's not soon enough. I used to have one guy that I sat and waited on his tillage machine the entire time planting and he still complained it wasn't planted soon enough. Then he bought his own planter and now plants a month later than before. I have one more day of spraying right now, using drops in corn that is nearly too tall for my tractor to get through, cleaning up some grass problems. So that makes the custom stuff work here. The worst part is the first year I got my combine it worked so well for me that 2 other guys thought they should buy newer combines and do custom work too so there is less to do now. Oh well.
