NE Nebraska | Went through FSA and FCS on my loan. It was a PITA. FSA wouldn't gaurentee the loan for a bridge note at FCS so dad had to carry the full bridge note for about 3 months till all paperwork and board approval was complete. 5% down, FSA 45%, and FCS 50%. FCS has first lein and FSA second. Then once approved by FSA, FCS underwriters were giving me problems even after I was told that if FSA backed me, I would be approved by FCS, some new requirement changes that occurred during my process ( my luck). Have everything approved and glad that parts done. Now just to pay it off. If the land is for the right price, give it a try. Takes a long time, gov't. Good luck. | |
