Subject: Can you go too deep with a inline ripper?

Saronville NE
I have been useing a Blujet subtiller 2, just doing some ends where trucks and graincart went alot, and 1 small field where we think we have compaction, can a guy go too deep, dad thinks Im going to deep, Im pulling it about 16in deep, its a 5shank and in the hard spots that is all the 8410 will handle, where really no compaction, you dont even know its there. So is 16in too deep or should a guy go like 12-13in deep?
