Subject: RE: Twin Row Corn Experiment

SW Mn
I've done similar tests the last 3 yrs in SW MN. I'm on 36" rows and also used starter fert(double on the twin rows) but was always in some of my better ground with high fertility. Spacing between rows wasn't as good as yours ( at least not for the entire length of plot) and the staggering of plants wasn't perfect but most of the twin row corn that I've seen that was planted with a twin row planter doesn't have very good staggering either. I would have liked to compare to 30" or 20" also and probably should have tried some on poorer ground too. Probably to many variables but its a start and gives a guy some things to think about.
