Loran, I have never seen our gravel knolls look so good...... ever! It's almost scarey to think those sandy spots will average 140 or so. Like my dad always said anyone can get good yeilds off of good dark dirt, but it takes a little "TLC" to farm lighter soils! We also side dress when the corn is 12 to 16 inches tall. have done that for 15 years or so, it makes our light soils perk right up!!

Loran do you have a Deere Rotor, or conventional combine? Lets pray for no high winds, and LESS rain.I won't breath easier until labor day. August can still get stormy if it wants. are your beans showing stress? Mold, sds? later
