I hope you are right, Mike. I had not done the math but was a bit surprised since this same hybrid last year typically had 18 rows. But I think you can see from the photo above it is 14 x about 46 this year.

I plant 32000 probably have about 30,000 after the turkeys pheasant etc get through so using your numbers, 30k/34k x 240 bu = 211 bu/acre.  I'd be very happy with that on Wisconsin clay hillsides for corn on corn, especially given my limited inputs.

The ears just look longer and smaller around than last year. I guess they will fill out. But very good pollination as you can see.
