It's good to see you back on a more regular basis. Also glad to hear your disclaimer regarding the yield calculations. I like to do a few checks too but I never place too much faith in the results. It is nice to get an early comparison between varieties and more importantly, it never hurts to see what's going on in the field later in the season. There's always something to learn or a new question arises.

Finally, we had a lot of 14 - 16 around last year and relatively short ears, 40 kernels was a long ear last year with some 32. We did have some disappointments but overall yields were respectable. We really won't know for sure till we harvest it.
