Aberdeen MS
A row placed "starter" is in simple terms, a nutrient insurance policy for cold weather early growth. That is why it is so important on inquiries like Robin's to know where they are located to give a more accurate response.

Many many factors come into play when determining whether or not there MAY be an economic advantage and more so to what extent there may be an advantage.

Many just want to do a "blanket" type application and call it good. In today's world of ag production, that just isn't feasible anymore and stay economically competitive.

We see many posts on "the best pickup", "the best tractor", "the best hybrid/seed company", and those that are staunchly for one brand is the best will flat out refuse to acknowledge that there are good, better and best nutrients for grain production.
