Blue Earth, MN | Jon,
What does he do for THIS year? There are two ways to look at fertility, long term and short term. IF he were to spread fertilizer (dry) based off his soil tests, he would loose some serious $$$ on THIS years crop. IF it is a rented farm he won't have to worry about the long term fertility plan because he won't be farming it after this year because he will be broke! I'd look at feeding the crop and soil on this farm with both dry and liquid products in a financially sound plan.
I appreciate your posts but there are times where your response is to clearly bash liquid fertilizer products and the people who use them.
Barts original question was where he should be putting his fertilizer in furrow; either on top the seed or underneath the seed.
FYIW, the midwest conditions and soils are not Maryland. | |
