Faunsdale, AL
There’s having reservations and then there’s latching on to every cockamamie story that comes along and spreading it far and wide. Magnets and metal objects sticking to vaccinated people comes to mind as a good example of the absurd lengths people go to in their crusade. To me, that’s not having reservations about your own health, but preaching on street corners trying to influence others.

Just so you know where I’m coming from, I also had COVID-19 as did my wife and several of the kids. We had been more than 6 months since recovery when we became eligible to get the vaccine, so we all got ours.

My wife works in a local hospital and my kids go to school, so I figured we were not going to avoid COVID and that turned out to be accurate. I hoped that we would be fine since we’re in pretty good health for late 50’s and that also seems to have been the case. On the other hand, I didn’t really want my mother in her 90’s and several other old people to get the virus, but we got lucky and the co-worker my wife was probably exposed by called and warned her as soon as she was diagnosed, so we were able to contain it to our house and not spread it.

We all had some post vaccination aches and fever, but that lasted a day or two at the most. My mother had less than anyone. I think that’s common with old people but she hadn’t had the virus either.
