Problem is when you go into a health care setting (nursing home, hospital etc) or travel setting, you do have a reasonable expectation that the organization will take steps to keep you from getting a disease or spread your illness to others.
That where requiring vaccination comes in. It’s a known, very effective way to practically eliminate the danger of COVID-19 transmission from patients/passengers to employees or other patients/passengers.
The hospital or other facility has no way to force their patients to be vaccinated, but they wield a pretty big stick over their employees. Same for cruise lines etc. They want to operate at a profitable level, and vaccinated people will neither spread the virus or contract the virus, very often, onboard their ship, so everybody’s happy except those that want to go but don’t want to get vaccinated. Right now, I think the companies are willing to tell the vaccine hesitant people they’re sorry, but they’ve got a business to run.
