Twice I’ve pointed out P = IV and you’ve had the chance to explain your knowledge to the rest of us in a low voltage situation, .

And again clearly pointed out is reality - from 1st year engineering classes. Only one here would known that. It is called a constant voltage source. V stays constant and I increases massively. Called a short circuit. A many times less than 1 milliamps through through a 74HC30 input means a massive increase in power when that current increases to maybe 3000 milliamps. P=IV. As "I" increases well over 3000 times, power dissipated in that integrated circuit increased by more well more than 3000 times more. And that is damage.

You have simply posted some vague formula without any numbers and any electrical knowledge.

Low voltage does not harm any electronics. As required by international standards that existed before you were born. Normal electronics operation: if an AC voltage increases, then current decreases. Electronics consume same power. If voltage decreases, then current increases. Again consuming same power. All internal DC voltages do not vary by even 0.2 volts. That is the required function of a power supply. That is what engineers know because we design this stuff. And confront naive experts who cannot even put numbers to P=IV. Internal voltages and power consumed remains constant while VAC varies massively. That is the purpose of every supply.

Power supplies did that long before PC existed. All voltages down to zero cause no hardware damage.

You deny while still never citing a single internal component that might be damaged. Knowledge comes only from wild speculation. Which means no part exists.

An honest man would have posted numbers for that P=IV. You never do.

AC voltage can drop so low that an incandescent bulb dims to 50% intensity. Electronics work just fine; no damage. Numbers clearly defined by numerous international design standards - that only the naive would ignore.. Internal DC voltages do not vary even by 0.2 volts. If voltage drops too low, then electronics simply power off. Again without any damage.

Junk science is alive and well. Complete with mockery and insults that is routine when an extremist has no facts and no neer posts any numbers. When he even ignores the datasheet for a CD4001. Apparently TL;DR. Meanwhile we engineers read those things by the hundreds. Just another reason why engineers post numbers; and the technically naive (educated by wild speculation) do not.

To post with credibility, post numbers for P=IV las requested in every post. Oh. That means learning facts with numbers. That means reading datasheets. That means learning what international design standards have long required. That means learning what a constant voltage source is. And learning other concepts such a over-voltage protection and foldback current limiting. Maybe start by reading a datasheet for a 7805 single chip power supply. Then you might post numbers for P=IV. Where low voltage again causes no damage.

Only one of us learned this stuff by doing it. And then posts numbers constantly.
