Callao, Missouri | Could you explain to me what happened when we were test running our generator years ago? The engine was not running correctly (surges/dips). We stood around it scratching our head for awhile before shutting it off. I’m pretty sure we threw the cutoff switch first before shutting the generator down. At the end of our exercise in preparation, we found that two TVs, a computer, and something else (I can’t remember, this was 25yrs ago) no longer worked.
If it wasn’t low voltage that did this then what could it be? Fluctuating Hertz?
I don’t think any of the items fried were turned on at the time. Could be wrong though as it’s been a long time.
