Low voltage does not damage electronics. Low voltage is a threat to less robust appliances: ie central air, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, furnace.



I would not classify a vacuum cleaner as a "less robust appliance." Most vacuum cleaners run a brush type motor with a minimum of electronics. Don't think low voltage would be a significant risk.
