CNY | Yep, different here. No limestone, so no crumbling or leaking, well drained site. Needed to do pointing up in some spots and spray foam upper cellar.There are a number of stone houses in the area that stand square. Hand hewn beech sills and beams so hard you have to drill a hole to sink a spike in. No rot. A friend on a hill farm did tear down and build new. That house was a different story. | |
