| Our home we raised our kids in saw several remodels, as it was also the house I grew up in. My nephew moved back home and needed a place since his first marriage didn’t work out, so was kind of a perfect fit to sell to him. We were able to advance our timetable for building new by ten years. Our original house was nicely done, but wiring and plumbing were still about 50% or more original. And still not insulated the best. We simply wanted to live the balance of time god gives us in something really nice, and maintenance free as much as possible. So we built our dream home and couldn’t be happier. But if I were young again and staring over, I sure wouldn’t completely rule out a remodel.
