Badger State | ASF can really only be bearish as far as feed demand.
Walk thru your farrow to to finish operation and shoot every other pig and sow. You'll need half as much feed tomorrow as you needed yesterday. Assuming you can repopoulate you will be a year away from being full again. Then feed usage is just par with where you started. The lost demand is never made up.
Sure some demand could go to beef. Some to poultry or fish. Sounds like a wash for feed demand. Beef would be a long ways out before making any new demand. | |
