If they relapse, that would change the dynamic.

I read below after I posted that the virus will survive in the barn and infect the new stock if the barn is reused. I am unfamiliar with it. Do you know if that is the case? Even if the barn was sanitized the virus will lie dormant and flare up again if the confinement is stocked?

I would think that would be very damaging. If a barn is infected, it becomes unusable again. Seems to be what I read...
