| To start, put them on a salary that is just enough to survive on. Tell them if they want more money, they need to either work somewhere else or they need to rent land from you or they need to build up a herd as part of their income. But they need ownership and they need risk. They should have to use their own (either cash out of savings or borrowed money or a combination thereof) money to finance most or all of their operation. The sooner they have ownership and RISK the better. | |
