Depends on what you are looking at or claiming.
If someone is claiming there is a god someplace then it should be visible or at least do visible things that are obviously and certifiably connected to that god.

People do claim that their god saved them from many things when it was their own good reflex or just pure luck that did the saving unless and until they can show proof that some god showed up to stop the accident from happening.

Like I have noted before the person who was saved from a life threatening accident or illness by man's technology of flying them to a hospital with specialists trained to use specifically designed machinery and drugs to save their life. Sometimes these medical personnel risked their own health while nursing them back to life and then the patient walks out of the hospital and thanks their god for saving them when no gods were ever visible around the facility in all the days they were being nursed back to health.

That is ungrateful to the people who worked hard to save them in reality.

There is a post on this site about how their god saved them from a head-on crash because the poster was able to react and swerve to avoid a head-on and just sideswiped the other vehicle.
No evidence of any gods just good reflexes
Claims made because of upbringing and training by employees at some religious place and no proof and ignoring the reality of the situation.

So a 'sign' is not proof but rather just a feeling that has been put in the persons mind from indoctrination.
Stopping and looking at the reality of the situation there is no evidence of any magical being doing anything.
