1) the bible has not ben in circulation for 2000 years.
It was put together by a committee of men 1700 years ago
2) none of the names mentioned were actually contemporary with the Jesus guy talked about
It is also argued by some scholars how much any of the brief comments, mostly by Josephus, really say much about any man carrying out acts outside of reality.
Some mentions quoted are of variations of the word christ and may have actually referred to things or people unrelated to the christian Christ.
Actually all those bibles printed are the result of the printing press and if you go back to a time before the printing press you will find lots of scholars who will point out changes that were made by those who were painstakingly copying the old texts by hand.
This leaves various portions of the present bible altered from the earliest versions
Interesting reading to delve into as long as you choose scholars who have studied it in depth and not just people who want to believe and refuse to accept what well versed scholars have determined about that book, who wrote it and when. | |
