| 30 or so years ago a man told me the problem with owning land would be that the government would tax it away from you some day. I never forgot what he said. However, I didn't take his advice. I just paid my real estate taxes for the year and they were just shy of double what I paid last year for the same land. They are still no way near the number you mentioned. Perhaps that man was a prophet. | |
