One thing I learned, or maybe re-learned, last year is about the difference in length of daylight. In the summer us folks on the 45th parallel and farther north have a significantly longer day than the growers closer to the tropics. That gives a bonus in growth for being further north in the summer, thus making the glass roof more profitable.
Why don't US guys guys grow high value crops??
