King City, Mo
Green houses mean manual labor.

Several here want to burn down spray, plant, post #1 spray, post app2 spray, and then call the plane in to spray fungicide and bug killer and harvest. Produce is a little more complicated then that.

I'm just playing with produce for the fresh market for my children's savings account and it's been rewarding for them. I've also had a learning curve but it's been fun and you actually connect to your customers. When people say how yummy something you grew was it gives you a since of accomplishment that you don't get growing commodity grains.

Maybe some day we will have a high tunnel but it will depend on if the boys wanna work it once they are big enough to do more of the works. Dad can only do so much with working full time at the seed co and farming and growing produce and being daddy.
