over taxed nebraska
If there is not another side.......
1. if you and your sister in law (to be) are not compatible in a family business 40 future years of misery doesn't sound like much fun and what if she divorces your brother down the road throwing a financial wrench in everything ? what if when you get married and the wives don't get along....not good
2. if the money from the farm is in a farm account with several names on it and your share is not yours to do with as you see fit. BIG PROBLEM nobody else in the family should be looking into your account of your money or have any access to it. if money is co-mingled and the split happens years down the road, you wont get to leave with much to YOUR name.

don't fall into the trap. "the farms money" = you work for peanuts .

if you stay, you need to separate money.... ex: your cows, dads cows, brothers cows. no together cows. farms too. you rent this one, brother rents that one, and dad has another. if you rent farm together for example: cash rent. divide it 1/3 1/3 1/3. and get your money separated from theirs.

if it isn't possible to keep and be in control of your share..... see advise above. don't burn any bridges but its time to get out.
