Southeast Colorado
I know the owners and they are primarily cattle people. They told me that the govt. had a temporary well set aside program a few years ago that paid you to shut them off. They sold the pivot back then and have recently bought more grassland and want to put more of their time into the cattle instead of farming. They are 1031 exchanging the sale of this land for their recent purchase. I do believe them.............but still don't know for sure how good these wells will hold up.
