God's Country (N.C. Ia)
I won't weigh in on the "am I crazy part", but in a perfect world, if I was to start a dairy, your idea of the robots and 120 hd would be my plan aswell. If you're not opposed to moving to a different place, I'd be looking for a freestall setup in that size range and retrofit a good used robotic milker on the side of it. Lord knows you'd save a ton of cash this way rather than building it all new, which would greatly help your profitability when the milk price takes a dump, which is just about every other year on average. Again, not going to comment on the "am I crazy part"! lol! It's all in what you want out of life I guess.
