whitesville new york | I would have to guess you'd have $800,000 into a barn and robots. I don't see the bank loaning me that kind of money much less someone that is getting started. You'd most likely needing well over a million $ to get this plan off the ground.
I personally am a fan of a rotational grazing set up. I call it a low input, low labor system. I milk in a old stall barn that we have put new stalls in the last couple years and will do more this year. I plan on build a compost parn in the future setting it up for robots but probably will still milk in the stall barn for a number of years. interest adds up in a hurry so I try have very little debt. | |
