For me, I guess it would all depend on WHY the one chunk of ground was lower productivity.

Is it something that could be fixed? By this I mean is it low productivity because it lacks tile or irrigation? Did the previous operator just mine the fertility out of the ground? With time, work and (obviously) some expense, could the yields be brought up to be similar to the smaller piece? If so, I would be much more likely to trade for more acres of ground nearby if I knew over time I could make it equally productive.
Now, if it is just thin soil, or hillsides instead of flat ground, etc, that is a different story. Higher yields per acre are almost always a benefit. Less wear on machinery, less $$$ for chemicals, etc, etc.
