S.C. Wisconsin
Most of it's grown in the south. We winter near Yuma Arizona and I have never seen such big fields of vegetables. All the work is done by immigrants as it's a lot of hand labor. I listened to a couple of producers and it sounds like marketing is a challenge as it's a perishable product. I know some small producers in our area and it's a tough business for all the labor it takes plus being so seasonal. When you have a good crop generally everybody else does to and the buyers start low balling.
