Subject: RE: Required Minimum ROI on Tiling

20 Miles West of Indianapolis Indiana
I obviously don’t know Maryland soils or tiling cost there, but if you already have mains, here I can pretty easily get something tiled for around $600 on 60’ spacing, and around $450 for 80’.

Wider spacing provides higher ROI, but not always Max ROI. Some areas of the country need 30’ spacings and other can do 80’. I did 40’ on a farm I own and have done 60’ on a vey wet rented farm and 80’ on a not as wet rented farm. The 80’ farm is across the road from the 40’ farm and were both farmed by the same guy the last 20 year’s before me. Judging by those results on it I wish I had done the farm I own on 60’ spacing and had em come back and split any trouble spots between the 60’s 2-4 year’s later after I farmed it a couple years... they yield very close to each other... IMO the biggest difference on the two comes from the higher fertility I’ve added on mine vs the rented farm
