| Cover crops can significantly reduce erosion, and resistant marestail is a weed here I really see it almost eliminate if you get at least some fall growth of cereal rye. Here, mid October I think about the ideal time to get cr no-till drilled, but usually get into early November before finishing, which still has provided at least some fall growth. Terminating at knee high or before does reduce risk, but imo planting green into it is the way to go if the timing works for you. | |
