To me it is an easier decision ahead of corn. Since that is generally bean stubble with little to no protection for erosion. That is where ARG really shines. If you get a decent stand, it really makes it hard for water to start a new wash and if a good stand, it can help washes developed during the growing season not to get worse over winter. No, I don't often fix washes before winter and when I do dirt work I stack the dirt beside the wash going in to winter so I generally don't have to pick it back up the next spring.
