Subject: RE: Fall cover crops

Kankakee, IL
I started out drilling rye, but went to broadcasting with dry fert, or seed alone. My goal was to get 500K viable seeds per acre. Felt like I could cover each sq. ft. of ground better by having 11 seeds scattered around than all placed in a row. I do need to broadcast earlier using this method than direct planting, but it's working well so far.

In my opinion, no wrong method....as long as you're seeding covers.
