Just like my boss and his "graph" that he sends to the owner of the company. It shows how inefficient I was only averaging 8 oil changes a day being my own boss. Yet under his direction my average is around 4 a day, working more hours, and more than twice the miles on my truck.
My point is numbers can be shuffled and manipulated to change things on the surface. It's the numbers on the bottom line that matter the most. When jobs, reputations, and most importantly money are at stake, the numbers on the surface count the most.
