Subject: RE: Wind Farm thoughts to those that have them

Western Iowa
My home county just finished phase 2 of a wind project. Phase 1 was a few years ago.

During construction, except for a few 'cowboys' driving where they want in a field that is already up, the crews were respectful and really took an effort to blade and water roads, slow down going by houses, ect.

Now when it comes to the actual windmill roads and placement, it is anyone's guess and some of the roads they layed out here make absolutely NO sense at all...… but guess what, you signed the easement, they do what they want where they want.

Now that the phase 2 was done they drug out making completion and damage payments out 6 months, and are now refusing to pay compaction damages even though it is in the contract. A group of farmers here had to hire a law firm just to get them to honor the terms of the contract...……….

There are also a lot of other things that are concerning about the whole deal. I signed up for them, but didn't get any and I am damn thankful!
