I apologize did not think of building up to those numbers from within. I got out of college and went from 0 to 225 this year by breeding some of my own replacements and buying some every year. In my opinion if your growing in the sheep world you need to breed some of your own for replacements but buy good replacements every year until you don’t want to build the flock anymore. Than breed your own for all replacements and become a closed flock. It is to dang hard to build numbers to desirable levels from within, in a quick efficient way. A guy just doesn’t get enough good quality breeding stock to choose from every year to keep all replacements from within.
