The learning curve in sheep is pretty high.   My wife grew up raising sheep, or actually her folks did, but she had experience.  Trust me, start small, buy GOOD young ewes and be prepared to work.   You can expand from there.   Good money most years in sheep if you can get a good live lamb crop on the ground and work to finish them.

Another thing to consider is goats.   Better money right now in goats and far less work.   The trick is to keep them in the fence when they get bored.
