South Central MN | I don't remember a whole lot of '93 was only 8. The crops got in but then it rained a bunch here and the low ground all got drowned out, still remember that was the year dad got a different hay cutter, don't know when he did the first cutting of hay but one field had dirt on the stems from being in 6+" of water, very dusty hay.
Might be glad I didn't plant any more corn after the 31st, would have taken well over a week to dry out and some that was planted early June is just barely up and with a cool summer might not do very well. I have one field with longer season corn in that was planted mid May (105 RM), rest is 96 RM or less. If that doesn't make it then I don't see how much else could around here. Last field of beans got in June 8th, should be up now. I didn't plant anything later than a 1.6 this year, wanted to try to get winter rye for a cover in after they are off so we shall see. | |
