Rudolph, WI | I would bet good money you were right at 1993. I was 23 that year and we didn't get much corn planted that spring and it was cold and wet the entire year. A friend had just bought a brand new 1993 Freightliner quad axle grain truck and I helped him haul corn all summer, fall and winter that year from southeast WI to central WI because of the shortage of corn planted. That winter is when there was a "government corn program" that dairy farmers in our area took advantage of and there was well over 100,000 miles put on that truck the 1st year. | |
